It felt as though she had just awakened from the deepest, most suffocating nightmare. Naoko slowly opened her eyes.

She felt as though her entire body was being weighed down by something extremely heavy, so much so that even a finger couldn’t move. Her head was still a bit dizzy, much like the feeling of a hangover.

Three minutes later, a stream of silent tears began flowing from the corners of her eyes.

She clearly remembered what had happened before she lost consciousness, especially that devilish smile.

When she saw that she was no longer wearing the same clothes as before, her heart shattered. A deep sense of despair enveloped her soul.

Lei, I’m sorry, I’m no longer pure.

Just like when she had a heart attack, Naoko felt an intense pain in her chest.

I’m such a fool, an irredeemable fool. I should have listened to him. He had warned me not to be alone with Junichiro Nishinaka. Why was I so oblivious?

Naoko scolded herself deeply, wishing she could die right then and there.

Now she knew that when heartbreak reaches its peak, tears can no longer flow. Though tears poured down endlessly, she couldn’t make a sound.

She curled up tightly, like an injured deer, silently sobbing.

Not long after, footsteps were heard outside the door, followed by the door opening.

Junichiro Nishinaka walked in, then placed one hand on her forehead to check her temperature.

Naoko finally exploded. She flipped over and grabbed that hand, sinking her teeth into it with all her strength.

The muscles in his hand were firm, but she bit deeply anyway. As she tasted the bloody, metallic fluid, she felt a sense of vengeful pleasure.

Suddenly, his other hand gently stroked her face. That strange touch caused an inexplicable sensation within her.

“Fool, it’s me, Lei Yin,” a clear and familiar voice whispered in her ear.

In that instant, Naoko couldn’t believe her ears. Unconsciously, she released her grip and looked up at the owner of the hand.

It wasn’t Junichiro Nishinaka. It was him. It really was him!

As she gazed into his clear, deep eyes, Naoko felt as if she might faint.

“Is it true? I wasn’t… with Junichiro Nishinaka… that?” Naoko asked, staring intently into his eyes.

Lei Yin gently stroked her back, kissed her cheek, then replied, “You’re my woman. Of course, I wouldn’t let anyone take advantage of you. There are some things you don’t know. I’ve already arranged for people to protect you 24/7. They only leave when I’m by your side. When Junichiro Nishinaka put you in his car, my people were following him the entire time. When his car reached a secluded place, they intercepted him and rescued you. That’s how it happened.”

“Then why were my clothes changed? Lei, please tell me the truth. Don’t lie to me,” Naoko cried as she spoke.

“Don’t you trust me anymore? Listen, I changed your clothes because your original ones were soaked in sweat. I had to change them. But forget it, you’ll still think I’m lying.” Lei Yin said with a hint of helplessness.

“You’re a woman. Don’t you have any sense of what happened to you? Go look at your body in the bathroom, and you’ll know,” he added.

Upon hearing this, Naoko immediately realized her mistake. She had been too emotional, forgetting something so simple.

Ignoring her embarrassment, she hurried to the bathroom.

Ten minutes later, she walked out, her face flushed with redness.

Seeing the joy she couldn’t hide in her expression, Lei Yin smiled and opened his arms. “Come here.”

With great embarrassment, Naoko walked over and sat on his lap.

“Sorry for scaring you. Actually, I should have taken action against that guy much sooner,” Lei Yin said, kissing her hair.

Thinking back to the danger earlier, Naoko still felt a lingering fear.

Shaking her head, she tenderly cradled his right hand, which was wrapped in bandages.

“Lei, I’m so sorry. It must hurt, doesn’t it?” she said, tears streaming down her face.

“I’m fine.” He gently stroked her hair.

Naoko cried even harder upon hearing this.

When she bit him earlier, his instinct was to channel his inner energy to his arm, but fearing that it would shock her mouth, he endured the pain.

“Even though I got bitten, I guess I came out ahead. Naoko, your body is really beautiful,” Lei Yin suddenly whispered in her ear to distract her.

Sure enough, after hearing this, Naoko’s exposed skin flushed pink.
