“You think this is an amusement park? What if you accidentally get Black Dragon killed? I’ll deal with you later for this. When did you arrive?”

“Just got off the plane. It’s been a long time since I got to participate in some killing and arson with you, Master. Now that you’re finally up for a big operation, of course, I had to come.” Lei Li replied confidently.

“You war-mongering maniac. How many conflicts in this world have been caused by people like you?” Masashi shot him a glare.

“Master, don’t blame me. The way I turned out is thanks to your guidance over the years,” Lei Li said with a cheeky grin. As long as they weren’t in the middle of serious business, the master and disciple often bantered like this.

Masashi glared, just about to erupt, but Lei Li quickly backed off several steps, having learned his lesson.

Ignoring him, Masashi turned to a man in his thirties with a scar at the corner of his eye. “What’s the situation inside?”

The man pulled out a blueprint, spread it out on the table, and respectfully reported, “Sir, after several days of observation and reconnaissance, excluding regular workers and maids, we’ve confirmed that there are 15 to 17 permanent guards inside the residence. Each of them is armed with handguns and is professionally trained. Additionally, there are three German shepherds on-site.

As of this morning, there are currently 17 guards inside the house, along with the target.

This blueprint is the floor plan of the house, obtained from the construction company that built it three years ago. However, there may be minor discrepancies due to renovations over the years. To address this, we’ve investigated all renovations made to the house and updated the blueprint accordingly. The final version should have a 98% accuracy rate compared to the real structure.

On the map, red areas mark the surveillance cameras, blue areas denote alarm systems, and the black numbers indicate the number of guards stationed in various locations. The red cross represents the target’s room.”

Masashi silently studied the blueprint, committing every marked detail to memory. Lei Li, dropping his playful demeanor, also examined the plan carefully.

“How will you deal with the surveillance and alarm systems?” Masashi asked after a moment.

“Sir, if we had more time, we’d infiltrate the house by disguising someone as a worker or maid to disable the systems from within. However, given the limited time, my plan is to cut off power to the area by sabotaging a nearby power cable. Then, during the brief window before they activate the backup generator, we will infiltrate the house. Once inside, we’ll immediately disable the generator to maintain the blackout.

Since all of us are equipped with night-vision goggles, we’ll have a significant advantage in a dark environment.”

“How much time will there be between the power cut and the generator activation?” Lei Li asked.

“Conservatively, about three minutes. If things go well, it could extend to five minutes.”

“Three minutes, huh?” Masashi glanced at Lei Li.

Lei Li caught his gaze and reassured him, “Master, don’t worry. They are all elite members of the Shadow Unit. Three minutes is more than enough for them.”

“And the surrounding environment?” Masashi asked the man with the scar.

“Sir, there are no other residences within a kilometer, only some warehouses like this one. As long as we don’t use heavy weapons like rocket launchers, no one will hear the gunfire.”

“Sounds like this is indeed a good place for murder and arson,” Masashi said, turning to the others. “Go prepare.”

Masashi was satisfied with the detailed intelligence, understanding better than anyone the importance of knowing both oneself and the enemy. Even the slightest error could lead to failure—and failure often meant death. While he was indifferent about his own life, he couldn’t ignore the lives of others.

Had it not been for the urgency of eliminating Adams as a threat, Masashi would have taken more time to thoroughly study his opponent’s every move before acting.

The Shadow Unit was a unique organization within the Black Dragon. Few knew of its existence, as it operated under the direct orders of the Black Dragon’s leader. Its primary mission was assassination. When Lei Yin had founded the unit, the selection and training of its members were unimaginably rigorous.

To ensure success and minimize casualties, thorough investigation of the enemy was always a top priority, no matter how time-consuming.

Hearing Masashi’s order, the men immediately began preparing around the warehouse. The scarred man stepped outside and blew a whistle. Moments later, four more men in black suits entered silently and began gearing up like the others.

Including Lei Li, a total of 20 men moved efficiently, their preparations swift and silent.

Two minutes later, Lei Li, fully armed, approached Masashi with a package.

    “Master, this is for you.”

Masashi took the package, first putting on a pair of black gloves, then donning a jet-black trench coat. Finally, he placed a balaclava that only revealed his eyes into his pocket.

“Master, aren’t you wearing a bulletproof vest?” Lei Li asked, pulling one out of the package.

“I don’t like wearing restrictive things like that.”

    “Master—”

Masashi glanced at him, sighed, and said, “Fine, I’ll wear it.” He took the vest and put it on.

Lei Li immediately beamed with satisfaction.

Once everyone was ready, Masashi scanned the group of men clad entirely in black, his lips curling into an amused smile.

    “A whole bunch of terrorists.”

“That’s what we are, after all,” Lei Li replied with a grin, equally clad in black.

Masashi chuckled, pulled the balaclava over his face, and said in a low voice, “Let’s get to work.”
