    That fast?

When the Blaze Bug Clan opened their eyes, they were utterly stunned by the sight before them!

What lay before them was the boundary where golden desert met lush green grasslands. Looking around, they saw countless members of the Blaze Bug Clan stretching endlessly in all directions.

Had they all been transported in just the blink of an eye?

How much power would such a feat require?

No, more importantly—just how powerful must this teleportation technique be to move millions upon millions of Blaze Bugs all at once?

At the forefront of the group, Granny Blaze cast a deep gaze at the white-clad man ahead. At that moment, she couldn’t help but believe his previous words.

A person who could create a cultivation method for the Blaze Bug Clan…
A person who could teleport the entire Blaze Bug Clan in an instant…
Perhaps he truly had the ability to gain favor from a True Immortal.

No, that wasn’t right—perhaps he himself was a True Immortal!

“The Blaze Bug Clan has mobilized in full force to the Northern Huangtian border—what is your intent?”

A hoarse, elderly voice rang in everyone’s ears.

Turning toward the source, they saw an old man, exuding an air of immortality, standing midair at the border. He held a whisk in his hand, and his dark green robe swayed gently in the breeze.

Although most had never seen the True Immortal stationed at the Northern Huangtian border, the overwhelming aura emystical energyting from this elder made it clear—he was none other than one of the two True Immortals guarding this place: True Immortal Ling Xuan!

For the demon race, righteous cultivators like him were their greatest fear—
And for the Blaze Bug Clan, whose only means of attack was self-destruction, that fear was even greater.

Among those present, besides Gu Ning’an and the newly crowned King Doubao, only a handful of demon cultivators like Granny Blaze dared to meet the gaze of the True Immortal.

At that moment, Gu Ning’an stepped forward into the air and cupped his hands in greeting.

“I am Gu Ning’an. Greetings to True Immortal Ling Xuan!”

    “Mr. Gu?”

Ling Xuan was momentarily taken aback. After taking a closer look at the white-clad young man, his expression shifted as he stepped forward slightly, smiling.

“I have long heard of your great name, sir. When you ascended Half-Sun Island that day, I happened to be absent and was unable to receive you. It is truly a regret.”

“May I ask, what brings you here today, leading such an enormous number of Blaze Bugs?”

Hearing this, Gu Ning’an transmitted the entire story to Ling Xuan via divine sense.

After a brief silence, Ling Xuan’s expression grew serious.

He had not expected that this Mr. Gu had actually created a cultivation method for the Blaze Bug Clan!

Others might not understand, but as someone who had spent years stationed at Northern Huangtian, he was intimately familiar with the Blaze Bug Clan.

    This race—
Even he considered them a “cursed race abandoned by the heavens.”

Simply surviving required them to rely on others. How could they possibly shake off the label of being “abandoned by fate”?

“Mr. Gu, this is a great blessing to the people of Great Wu—it is indeed a good thing… However, if such a vast number of Blaze Bugs were to suddenly flood out of Northern Huangtian… it could lead to unforeseen problems.”

Out of respect for Gu Ning’an, Ling Xuan chose his words carefully.

But his meaning was clear—while the Blaze Bug Clan might not have much ability to harm others, they could still self-detonate.

If even a fraction of these Blaze Bugs went berserk in Great Wu, the consequences would be catastrophic.

In response, Gu Ning’an solemnly declared,

“True Immortal Ling Xuan, you need not worry. I trust the Blaze Bug Clan—they will not stir up trouble in Great Wu.”

“If any trouble arises, I will take full responsibility.”

“Mr. Gu, you are too serious.”

Ling Xuan hesitated for a moment before continuing,

“Even so, I hope Mr. Gu will keep a close watch on them.”

Gu Ning’an cupped his hands. “Of course. I will personally oversee their departure, sending them one by one to their designated destinations.”

“Would you like some assistance, Mr. Gu?” Ling Xuan asked.

“No need to trouble you, Daoist Ling Xuan.”

As he spoke, Gu Ning’an flicked his hand, and a single sheet of xuan paper flew out.

    A low “buzz” sounded—

In an instant, an ordinary sheet of paper erupted with a radiant golden glow.

The light surged outward, enveloping hundreds of thousands of Blaze Bugs. And in the very next second, those Blaze Bugs, along with the paper, transformed into a streak of golden light, shooting beyond Northern Huangtian’s borders.

Within moments, they had vanished into the depths of the night.

In just the time it took to drink a cup of tea, countless Blaze Bugs had transformed into streaks of “golden meteors,” rapidly dispersing across Great Wu.

Having witnessed all of this, True Immortal Ling Xuan grew even more impressed with the white-robed man before him, who wielded his mystical energy1 as effortlessly as flowing water.

He asked himself honestly—if he had to transfer so many Blaze Bugs across different locations, he would absolutely not be able to do it so easily. At the very least, it would take him an entire day. Yet this man had accomplished everything in just a short tea’s time.

    It was simply unbelievable!

A True Immortal indeed possessed vast reserves of mystical energy, but not to the point of being inexhaustible—especially for such a large-scale relocation, which required careful calculations. The amount of mystical energy consumed must have been far greater than one would expect.

And yet, even with such an extravagant expenditure of mystical energy, True Immortal Ling Xuan couldn’t detect even the slightest trace of exhaustion on the man’s face!

This Mr. Gu was truly unfathomable…

Seeing that the other had completed his spell, leaving behind only the new Blaze Clan King and the elder Blaze demons, True Immortal Ling Xuan stepped forward, cupped his hands, and said, “Mr. Gu, may I have a word with you in private?”

On the other side, Granny Blaze and the others were still asking why they hadn’t been relocated as well. Gu Ning’an explained that they simply needed to stay put—the Blaze Bugs that had been sent out were already enough to transport the treasure. He also assured them that they would still be able to obtain the cultivation method even without going.

However, the elder Blaze demons weren’t convinced. They insisted on going out to help, feeling that simply accepting the cultivation technique without contributing any effort would weigh on their conscience.

Just as Gu Ning’an was caught in a debate with them, True Immortal Ling Xuan’s request gave him a perfect excuse to step away.

He merely responded with a simple “Alright.” Then, alongside True Immortal Ling Xuan, he teleported a hundred miles away.

“Mr. Gu… this, this truly is…” Granny Blaze let out a long sigh as she gazed in the direction Gu Ning’an had left, looking somewhat helpless.

Beside her, Doubao chuckled and said, “Granny, if Mr. Gu insists that we stay, he must have his reasons. This debt of gratitude isn’t something we can repay in just 45 minutes. As long as we don’t forget, that’s enough—we don’t need to dwell on it right now.”

Hearing this, Granny Blaze nodded. “King Dou speaks wisely.”

    “King Dou?”

Hearing this title, Doubao shuddered and forced a laugh. “Granny, please just call me Doubao. ‘King Dou’ sounds so awkward…”

    “That won’t do!”

Granny Blaze shook her body slightly and said, “You are now the king of our Blaze Bug Clan. If we call you by your given name, that would be disrespectful.”

“Were it not for the fact that our clan is weak, and that Northern Huangtian has two emperors reigning at once, it would actually be more fitting for us to call you ‘Emperor Dou’ instead.”

“After all, an emperor carries an even greater aura of dominance than a king.”

“But for now, in order to let the Blaze Bug Clan recuperate and gather strength, we will call you King Dou first…”

    “This… oh, whatever.”

    “Call me whatever you like.”

Doubao paused for a moment. He knew that he had now become a symbol of the Blaze Bug Clan’s resurgence. If calling him “King” could give everyone more confidence, then so be it. There was no need to get caught up in titles.

Granny Blaze grinned and declared, “King Dou is wise!”

The elder Blaze demons followed suit, “King Dou is wise!”

    1. Before, I just translated mystical energy as spiritual energy. However, since it was mentioned before that this is a higher form of spiritual energy, I'll now translate it as mystical energy.
